Hey everyone! I know I’ve been away lately; life seems to get more busy the closer we get to summer! Today I’m going to start off with a question, and I encourage you to please leave your comments. How do you see your self? What is your self image?
To quote from Psalm 139:14 it says “I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” Do you think that in order to be pretty you have to be thin? Or that you have to show a lot of skin so that men will be attracted to you?
The main scripture that I use as the motto of the blog is this: 1 Peter 3:3-4 “Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.”
Don’t let anyone tell you what you should look like, how you should dress or how you should act. Be the person God made you to be.
Don’t dress to impress people. Dress to honor God. 1 Timothy 2:9 I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes.
God cares more about how you honor what He gave you instead. So instead of dressing to attract people, dress to attract the glory of God that’ll shine through making others want to know what it is about you that makes you shine.
It gives you the opportunity to witness to others.
So let the Unfading Beauty of A Quiet and Gentle Spirit create your beauty. Not pearls and beautiful clothing.
Please leave your comments, thoughts, and questions.
Blessings to all,
