What do you think it means to be fearless? To some it means not being afraid of anything. One such famous singer said this “I don’t believe being fearless is not being afraid, I think it’s being afraid and still doing it anyways,” -Taylor Swift.
“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” Isaiah 41:10 (NLT)
In fact, “Do not Fear” is said in the Bible approximately 365 times! That’s one for each day!
Something I have learned is living fearless isn’t easy. It’s a daily choice that you trust that God will take care of you through everything. Now, I’m not saying go into the most dangerous part of your town and expect it’ll all work out fine. There has to be some discernment that goes along with it. Now, if God tells you to go somewhere, then THAT is when you need to be fearless and trust God.
Fearless can be speaking up about something to people that may become angry, but doing so anyways because you know what you are saying is right and needs to be said. Fearless is standing up for yourself and your beliefs-no matter the cost.
Fearless is having fear, but giving it up and trusting God with it.
What is something God is speaking to you to go live fearless for him about? Maybe it’s something big like selling that extra television you have and giving the money away, or maybe it’s something “small” like going up to the new girl at your school or church that nobody talks to. You never know the outcome of your actions. Sometimes God asks us to do things so there is room for him to bless us, but sometimes he asks us to do something because someone is on the brink, and praying “If just one person talks to me, I’ll know you’re real,”. You NEVER know the reasons behind what God is calling you to do. It’s up to you to Live Fearless, and follow and trust in him!
I guess the question to ask now is; Are YOU ready to Live Fearless? To jump into whatever Christ calls you to, no matter the cost?
